What It Is
Stix is a urethane-modified acrylic bonding primer with a cult following among painters for one reason: it sticks to the stuff paint isn't supposed to stick to — vinyl, PVC trim, fiberglass doors, glossy factory finishes, even glass.
How Our Crews Use It
Vinyl siding, fiberglass and steel entry doors, vinyl shutters, PVC trim: anything slick gets Stix first. It's the reason our vinyl repaints survive expansion cycles without flaking at the laps.
Key Benefits
- Unparalleled adhesion to hard-to-coat glossy surfaces, often without sanding
- Cures at temperatures as low as 35°F
- Dries to an extremely hard film
- Topcoats with almost anything: alkyd, acrylic, urethane, epoxy
- Excellent enamel holdout; levels smooth
